Zouk Lambada is a dance style evolved from the lambada dance style and is typically danced to zouk music or other music containing the zouk beat, such as Arabic or RnB music. The style of Zouk Lambada that is taught on the UAE is Rio-style Zouk, which is the style also danced in Brazil, Australia, the Netherlands, Spain, and some other European countries. It uses a modified, slower and smoother version of the lambada.

Zouk Dubai was started after Nayan and Sam discovered Zouk in Australian dance clubs and fell in love with this beautiful and sensual dance from Brazil. They introduced Zouk to the UAE and started the first Zouk classes in the beginning of 2009 at Savage Garden, Capitol Hotel, Dubai. They also have conducted workshops in Abu Dhabi and done performances at the Abu Dhabi Salsa Festival and Dubai Dance Festival. Additionally they have also brought over several internationally renowned zouk instructors, such as Adilio Porto from Holland and Alisson Rodrigues Sandi from Australia.
